Message Minute (Healing for Wounded Hearts)

We all carry wounds. Some are emotional—from grief, trauma, or abuse. Others strike at our identity through rejection or mockery. Still others damage our dignity, relationships, or sense of worth. These wounds divide our hearts, creating spaces of pain that prevent us from wholehearted living. The beautiful promise of Easter is that Jesus not only understands our wounds because He experienced them Himself during His life and crucifixion, but that by His wounds on the cross we receive healing. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus meeting wounded people and making them whole. The prophet Isaiah foretold this healing mission: "By his wounds we are healed." On the cross, Jesus took every kind of wound we experience—emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual—into His own body. He bore our pain so that we might find restoration. Today, don't hide your wounds or pretend they don't exist. Instead, bring them to the foot of the cross. Allow the One who was wounded for you to bind up your broken places and make you whole again.

Verse: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
— Isaiah 53:5

Reflection Question: What wound from your past still affects how you relate to God and others today?

Prayer: Jesus, You know what it means to be wounded. Today I bring my hurts to You—the places where I've been broken, rejected, or harmed. Thank You for taking these wounds upon Yourself at the cross. I receive Your healing today. Restore the divided places in my heart and make me whole. Amen.
