Message Minute (Peace Isn't Always the Answer)

Even Jesus, in His moment of complete submission to God's will, experienced tremendous turmoil. In the Garden of Gethsemane, His anguish was so intense that His sweat became like drops of blood. This teaches us a profound truth: following God's will doesn't always come with peaceful feelings. Sometimes, the right path might be the hardest one. Many of us have been taught to "follow our peace" when making decisions, but this advice isn't actually biblical. It's a modern idea that can sometimes lead us astray. True peace often follows obedience rather than preceding it. Just as Jesus found strength to face the cross despite His turmoil, we too can trust that God's will might sometimes lead us through valleys before bringing us to mountains. Remember that feeling uncertain or anxious doesn't necessarily mean you're outside of God's will. Sometimes, it simply means you're human, facing real challenges while trusting in a faithful God.

Verse: "Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you." - 1 Peter 4:12

Reflection Question: When have you followed God's leading despite feeling anxious or uncertain? What was the outcome?

Prayer: Father, help me trust You even when the path ahead seems daunting. Give me courage to follow Your will regardless of my feelings, knowing that You are faithful to guide me through both peace and turmoil. Amen.
