Message Minute (Eternal Investments)

Our spiritual gifts are temporary tools for this side of eternity. One day, when we see Jesus face to face, many of our current gifts will no longer be necessary. Teaching, prophecy, knowledge—these will pass away when we're fully in God's presence. But love? Love will remain. It's eternal. When we leverage our gifts through love, we're making investments that transcend time. Every act of service motivated by genuine love for Christ and His church becomes part of what lasts forever. This perspective transforms how we view our service. The hours spent mentoring a young believer, the prayers offered for someone in crisis, the meals prepared for a grieving family—when done with love, these aren't just nice gestures but eternal investments. If you're ever uncertain about your specific gifts or how to use them, simply choose love. You can never waste your life when you pour it out in love for Jesus and His body. And wonderfully, as you serve in love, your gifts often become clearer through experience and the confirmation of others. Today, commit to making eternal investments with your gifts, knowing that what's done in love will never perish.

Verse: "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13

Reflection Question: What is one way you can use your gifts this week that will have eternal significance because it's motivated by love?

Prayer: Father, thank You that love endures forever. Help me invest my life and gifts in what lasts eternally. As I serve Your church, fill me with love that transforms ordinary acts into eternal significance. May my life be leveraged fully for Your glory. Amen.
