Message Minute (Upgrade, Not Escape)

"The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power." - 1 Corinthians 15:42-43

The resurrection isn't about getting less physical—it's about getting more physical. Paul describes four upgrades coming to every believer: imperishable, glorious, powerful, and spiritual (meaning Spirit-empowered, not ghostly).

Imperishable means no more decay, disease, or death. Whatever is broken now gets healed then. Chronic pain? Gone. Disability? Healed. Cancer? Defeated. Glorious means beautiful by God's standards, radiating His glory without insecurity. Powerful means capabilities beyond current limitations—no exhaustion, no weakness, just strength to do everything God designed perfectly. Spirit-empowered means perfectly responsive to God's Spirit, able to worship without distraction and create without frustration.

This isn't wishful thinking—it's the pattern Jesus established. His resurrection body could eat, be touched, and was recognizable, yet wasn't limited by physical barriers. That's the prototype for what's coming.

Reflection: What physical limitation or struggle would you most look forward to being free from in your resurrection body?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that resurrection means upgrade, not escape. Give me hope when my body fights against me now, knowing that You're preparing something far better. Let this future reality strengthen me to persevere today. Amen.
