Message Minute (Live Like You Believe It)

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58

Paul doesn't end his resurrection teaching with "Isn't that nice?" He says "Therefore"—meaning because resurrection is real, because you're getting your life back, here's how to live now.

Three commands: Stand firm against cultural pressures that say this world is all there is. Let nothing move you when following Jesus gets costly. Give yourself fully to Kingdom work because it counts forever.

This hope isn't just about the future—it transforms the present. When you know your best days are ahead, you stop living in regret. When you know relationships are eternal, you forgive quickly and love deeply. When you know your work matters eternally, you do it with excellence for God's glory.

Stop living like this is all there is. Stop acting like death wins. You've got a future, a body that will be raised, eternity ahead, meaningful work to do, perfect relationships waiting, and joy unending.

Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Give yourself fully. Your labor is not in vain.

Reflection: What's one specific way you can live differently this week because you believe in the resurrection?

Prayer: Faithful God, help me live today in light of eternity. When obedience is costly, remind me what's waiting. When I'm tempted to hold back, embolden me to give fully. Let resurrection hope transform not just my future but my present. Amen.
