Message Minute (Everything Sad Will Come Untrue)

"He who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Then he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'" - Revelation 21:5

Everything sad will come untrue. Not erased. Not forgotten. Not pretended away. But redeemed, transformed, made into something beautiful. This is the promise of the gospel, that the God who spoke galaxies into existence will take every broken piece of your life and make it new.

Right now, your story is incomplete. Chapters don't make sense. Things happened that seem random or wrong. But there's a day coming when every story will be told from beginning to end, with all the missing pieces filled in. You'll see how it all fit together, even the worst moments were part of something bigger.

God is the master storyteller, and He doesn't waste a single chapter. The pain becomes part of a story so beautiful that when you see the whole thing, you wouldn't change it even if you could. You'll fall on your face in worship, not because He caused the pain, but because He redeemed it so magnificently.

So how do we live until then? Grieve with hope—feel the pain honestly, but know it's not permanent. Trust God's timing—stop demanding fixes right now and believe He's preparing something better. Live generously today—give, love, serve, and forgive freely, knowing everything invested in God's kingdom pays dividends forever.

The restoration is coming. The renewal is coming. The redemption is coming. Everything sad will come untrue.

Reflection: What would change in your life today if you truly believed everything sad will eventually come untrue? How can you live more generously in light of that hope?

Prayer: Jesus, You're making all things new. Help us live like we believe it. Transform our devastation into hope, our grief into expectation, our losses into treasures we can't yet see. We're homesick for that day. Until then, keep our hearts anchored in Your promise. Amen.
