Message Minute (Trust Says Yes Before Knowing Where)

"Go from your country... to the land I will show you." - Genesis 12:1

God didn't give Abraham a map. He didn't provide directions or reveal the destination. He simply said, "Start walking, and I'll show you where as you go."

That's what trust looks like in real life, taking the first step without knowing the tenth step. Obeying what God calls you to today without demanding to see the whole plan.

For planners and analytical thinkers, this is incredibly hard. There's a desire to see the roadmap, to know the outcome before committing. But that's not how trust works. Trust means taking the next right step even when you can't see the whole staircase.

Here's the thing: if you could see the whole journey, you wouldn't need faith. If you knew every outcome, you wouldn't need trust. If you understood every detail, you wouldn't need God.

But you do need Him. Every day. Every step. Every breath.

God isn't playing hide and seek. He wants to walk with you step by step, revealing His plan as you go. He longs for your presence more than your understanding.

So, breathe in: "Lord, I am listening." Breathe out: "I trust You." Today. This step. This breath.

Reflection: What's the next step God is calling you to take, even without seeing the whole plan? Ask him to show you while you practice the breath prayer.

Find a quiet place and set a timer.
Get comfortable and relax.
Begin the prayer rhythm:
Breathe in: “Lord, I am listening.”
Breathe out: “I trust You.”
End with gratitude.

Prayer: God, help me say yes before knowing where. Give me courage to take the next right step, trusting You'll show me the way as I go. Amen.
