Message Minute (Living in Light of Forever)

"Since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him."  2 Peter 3:14

If God is truly renewing Earth rather than destroying it, this should change everything about how we live today. Peter asks: "What kind of people should we be?" His answer isn't "check out and wait for the end." It's "live better NOW because you know what's coming THEN."

Here's what this means practically: The earth matters, you're not escaping a disposable planet but preparing for a renewed one. Justice matters, you're partnering with God's renewal now. Cultural creativity matters, when you create art or music, you're creating echoes of Eden that will be preserved. Work matters, you're creating value that will be incorporated into the New Creation.

Most importantly, relationships matter. You're not just passing time with people; you're building eternal connections. Love your spouse well. Invest in your kids, they're not projects to complete but people you'll know forever.

The most passionate, world-changing Christians aren't those who believe Earth is disposable. They're those who believe Earth is being redeemed. They work harder, love deeper, and create better not despite their eternal hope, but because of it. The Puritans built universities and wrote constitutions because they knew it mattered eternally.

The life you've always wanted isn't an escape from Earth—it's Earth as it was always meant to be.

Reflection: How would you live differently today if you truly believed everything good you do will be purified and preserved forever?

Prayer: Lord, transform how I live today. Help me work with excellence, love with passion, and create with purpose, knowing that nothing done for You is ever wasted. Make me a partner in Your renewal. Amen.
