Message Minute (Wisdom That Transforms)

In our fast-paced world, we often measure wisdom by knowledge, achievements, or strategic thinking. Yet biblical wisdom offers something much deeper—it's about recognizing what truly satisfies our souls. We were created to worship, to place something first in our lives. But when we exchange worship of God for lesser things—careers, accomplishments, possessions—we miss what our hearts were designed for. As Augustine discovered after years of chasing worldly pleasures: "You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find rest in you." True wisdom begins when we recognize that nothing in this world can fully satisfy the deep longings within us. Our hearts were fashioned for relationship with God. Only in Him do we find the peace, purpose, and satisfaction we're seeking. This wisdom transforms how we use our time. Instead of living with anxiety and scarcity, we can make decisions based on our eternal identity as children of God. As C.S. Lewis observed, those who focused most on heaven often made the greatest impact on earth. They lived with freedom and purpose in the present because they were secure in their future with God. When we're careful about how we live—worshiping God above all, holding money loosely, and building our lives on Christ's teachings—we discover the wise life God intended for us all along.

Verse: "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise." — Ephesians 5:15

Reflection Question: What lesser things am I worshiping that leave me feeling unsatisfied?

Prayer: Father, help me to worship You alone and find my rest in You. Guide me to use my time wisely, living from the security of my eternal identity in You. Amen.
