Message Minute (Following His Revealed Will)

Often, we become so focused on discovering God's "hidden will" for our future that we neglect His clearly revealed will in Scripture. Before we worry about which job to take or where to live, we should focus on the aspects of God's will that He has already made clear: loving our neighbors, forgiving others, being generous, and spending time with Him in prayer and His Word. God gives us guidance incrementally, one step at a time. He provides just enough light for the next step, and it's only as we take that step in faith that we receive light for the one after that. Obedience to His revealed will opens the door to understanding His concealed will.

Verse: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Reflection Question: What aspects of God's revealed will in Scripture have you been neglecting while searching for answers about your future?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your Word as a guide. Help me to be faithful in the things You've already shown me. Give me the courage to take the next step in obedience, trusting that You'll reveal the step after that when the time is right. May I focus more on knowing You than just knowing Your will. Amen.
