Message Minute (Living in the Kingdom)

The Kingdom of God isn't just a future hope - it's a present reality breaking into our world right now. As Kingdom citizens, we carry this reality wherever we go. The church serves as both signpost and foretaste of God's Kingdom, giving the world a preview of what's coming. This means every aspect of our lives matters - our work, our relationships, our engagement with culture, our care for creation. We're not just killing time until heaven; we're participating in God's Kingdom work right now. Yet we live in the tension between the "already" and "not yet" of God's Kingdom. Jesus has already won the decisive victory through His death and resurrection, but we await the full realization of His reign. The final chapter isn't a disembodied existence on clouds - it's heaven and earth coming together in a new creation! Jesus will return as King to renew all things, rid the world of evil, reconcile His people, and restore His creation. The promise of Eden will finally be fulfilled: God's reign, through God's people, over God's place.

Verse: "Behold, I am making all things new." - Revelation 21:5

Reflection Question: How might your perspective on daily life change if you saw yourself as an ambassador of God's Kingdom, giving others a glimpse of His coming reign?

Prayer: King Jesus, help me live today as a citizen of Your Kingdom. Use me to bring glimpses of heaven to earth in everything I do. Fill me with hope as I await Your return and the full revelation of Your Kingdom. Make me a faithful steward of the Kingdom work You've entrusted to me. Amen.
