Message Minute (Learning with Humility)

Pursuing justice requires continuous learning. It's not about being right, but about being transformed. In our culture of quick opinions and social media outrage, true justice demands deeper understanding, intellectual consistency, and a commitment to learning. Learning means acknowledging the complexity of human experiences. It means reading books from diverse perspectives, watching documentaries that challenge our worldview, and asking questions that go beyond surface-level understanding. It's about recognizing that our own perspective is limited and that growth comes from humble listening and learning. The Gospel invites us into a posture of continuous learning. Jesus constantly challenged people's assumptions, showing them a deeper, more compassionate way of seeing the world. When we approach justice with humility, we create space for real transformation – both in ourselves and in our communities.

Verse: Proverbs 9:9 - "Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will learn more."

Reflection Question: What book, documentary, or conversation could help you understand an issue of injustice more deeply?

Prayer: God of wisdom, humble my heart. Help me to be a lifelong learner, always willing to grow, to understand, and to see the world through Your eyes. Remove my pride and grant me the grace to learn from others. Amen.
