Message Minute (Get Up and Look)

"They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." – Lamentations 3:23

God's mercies rise like the sun—fresh every morning, washing away the darkness of night. Yesterday's failures don't determine today's potential. Today's despair doesn't dictate tomorrow's reality. This is the hope that drives depression away.

Emotions are terrible liars. They insist there's nothing ahead but darkness. They scream that nothing will ever change. But emotions can't think, can't reason, can't show faith. We have to do that for them. We have to believe our way into new feelings.

So get up tomorrow morning—whatever morning lies ahead—and look for the goodness of God. Even if it's small. Even if it's just a child's laugh, hot coffee, or the fact that you woke up breathing. Look for it. And when you find it, thank Him for it. Call it to mind. Preach it to yourself.

The most influential person in your life is you. You're the one you listen to most. So make sure you're saying the right things.

Reflection: What small evidence of God's goodness can you look for tomorrow morning?

Prayer: Father, help us wake tomorrow looking for Your goodness. Train our eyes to see Your mercies, fresh and new. Give us faith to preach truth to ourselves until we believe our way into hope. Amen.
