Message Minute (Made for More)

"Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." - Luke 10:42

You were made for more than this. You weren't created to be chronically overwhelmed, constantly distracted, and spiritually malnourished. You were made for so much more than this rat race we call modern life.

Jesus is offering you an alternative to the madness. He's inviting you into a life of peace, not pressure. A life of presence, not productivity. A life of depth, not distraction. But you've got to choose it.

There are so many people all the time who love Jesus, who want to serve Him, who desire to grow spiritually, but they're so busy they can't find ten minutes a day to read His Word. They're so overscheduled they don't have time to pray. They're so connected to their devices they've lost connection with their Creator.

God is not asking you to do more for Him. He's asking you to be more with Him. He's not calling you to greater productivity—He's calling you to greater intimacy. He doesn't need your busyness; He wants your presence.

It's time for a reset. It's time to remember what you were created for. It's time to choose the way of Mary over the way of Martha. It's time to prioritize the one thing necessary over the many things urgent.

Jesus is standing at the door of your hurried, overwhelmed, overloaded life, and He's knocking. He's saying, "Come away with me. Rest with me. Be still with me. Remember who you are and whose you are. Remember that your value doesn't come from your productivity but from my love for you."

Will you hear His voice? Will you respond to His invitation? Will you choose the better part that will not be taken away from you?

Reflection Question: What is one concrete step you can take this week to prioritize being with Jesus over doing for Jesus?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for reminding me that I was made for more than this frantic pace. I choose You over the chaos. I choose rest over rushing. I choose presence over productivity. Help me to live from a place of deep connection with You. Show me what needs to go and what needs to stay. I want to choose the better part. Amen.
