Message Minute (Choosing the Voice That Knows Your Name)

John 10:27 - "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

The question isn't whether we're listening to voices—we're surrounded by them constantly. The question is: whose voice are we listening to?

Can you still hear God's voice? Or has it been drowned out by notifications, algorithms, and artificial intelligence that sounds smart but doesn't know your name?

AI will never call you by name at 3 AM when you can't sleep and say, "I'm here. I see you. You're not alone." It will never weep when you weep or sit with you in the hospital waiting room. It will never know the sound of your laughter or the weight of your grief.

But Jesus does. He knows the real you—messy, broken, beautiful, complicated, redeemed. He's not competing for attention with an algorithm; He's inviting you into real intimacy that requires presence and costs something, but transforms everything.

Colossians 2:10 declares, "In Christ you have been brought to fullness." Not through information, technology, or algorithms. In Christ.

So turn off the noise. Sit in silence. Let Him speak, lead, and love you the way only He can. Every time we turn to a machine before turning to our Maker, we're revealing what we truly trust and worship.

Choose wisely. Choose Jesus first.

Reflection Question: What one specific boundary with technology will you set this week to prioritize hearing God's voice?

Prayer: Jesus, we choose You above all the competing voices. Help us hear You clearly, follow You faithfully, and find our fullness in You alone. Amen.
