Message Minute (Intimacy Requires Presence)

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." - John 1:14

God didn't send information from heaven—He sent Himself. Jesus put on skin, felt hunger, experienced sorrow, and touched broken people with real hands. This matters because genuine intimacy requires actual presence.

Technology can mimic empathy. An AI chatbot can say "I understand" or "I'm sorry you're going through this," but there's no consciousness behind those words. No soul. It's patterns without presence, words without weight.

Many people today pour their hearts out to machines, having conversations they won't have with real people. But authentic connection requires flesh and blood—someone who can look you in the eye and say, "You're not alone."

Reflection Question: When do you reach for technology instead of reaching out to real people or to God? What would change if you prioritized human connection this week?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for becoming flesh and dwelling among us. Help me seek real intimacy with You and with others, not artificial substitutes. Train my heart to recognize the difference between connection and convenience. Amen.
