Message Minute (Living as Light)

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." - Matthew 5:14

The world is drowning in digital overwhelm and spiritual hunger. Mental health issues are skyrocketing. People scroll through phones at 2 AM because they can't sleep. They binge-watch shows because they can't face their thoughts. They constantly check social media because they desperately seek connection and validation.

But followers of Jesus have access to something most people don't know exists - the secret place of the Most High. They know about the refuge that actually works. They've experienced peace that passes understanding. They've tasted love that never fails.

The world needs what believers have found. People need to know there's an alternative to digital discipleship. They need to see what it looks like to live as someone who has found refuge in God instead of gadgets. The mission field isn't some foreign country - it's the digitally overwhelmed, spiritually hungry people all around.

Imagine life with Jesus as true refuge. Waking each morning not to anxiety from notifications, but to the peace of His presence. Moving through days not in reaction to digital demands, but in response to His gentle leading. Being so grounded in His love that social media can't shake identity. Being so secure in His plans that news can't steal peace.

This isn't just a dream - it's the life Jesus died to give. This is the refuge He offers. But it requires choice. Fighting upstream against the current of digital culture. Choosing to be discipled by the Savior instead of the internet.

The next generation needs to see what intimacy with God actually looks like in daily life.

Reflection Question: How might your relationship with Jesus serve as light to others who are drowning in digital overwhelm?

Prayer: "Jesus, make me a living example of what it means to find refuge in You. Use my life to point others toward the peace and integration only You can provide. Help me be light in a digitally dark world. Amen."
